It's 11.30am and there are only 2 people on MSN. Weird. I was going through my friend list on friendster and I came to realise that there are way too many people on my list that I don't know or I don't talk to. So, I tried to delete the unknown ones one by one but I got distracted and ended up viewing their profiles. (Why can't these people delete themselves off my list??)

The weekend is going to be spent indoors. I've got to start loving my books before I ask my soul and body to. Everytime I start reading a sentence, I feel sleepy. An hour seems to pass real slow when I'm studying. Maybe, I'm just a last minute person and no matter how much I try to come up with pretty timetables, I will end up studying the very last minute.

I'II blog later on..about something more intersting.

*Gonna kick off the studying frenzy*

    Confirmation Class 1 / 10/18/07
Has any of you tried the Raisin Almond Crunch from Post? Aweeesomeeeee......I had it for dinner yesterday and I loved it.

Yesterday was my first confirmation lesson and Mark and I was really excited. We made it a point to remind each other of the nearing date and when we met at 8pm at the church entrance, he told me he was feeling nervous.

The class was smaller then I had expected and most of the other confirmants were about my age. The class was really interesting and Father Andrew explained to us the meaning of confirmation and emphasised that we have a calling and that is why we bothered to turn up. It's weird how the holy spirit has worked in my life. A casual conversation with a stranger ended with me finally getting to church to get confirmed. After the class, Mark and I had this conversation about how we needed a friend to join us for the class and it took so long to finally find someone. He kept asking me how the conversation between us started about this topic and I really can't remember. My prayers were finally answered. I love the fact that I know my faith in the Lord is deepening.

I prayed so hard yesterday that I will not procrastinate and that I will have the strength to forgive others. Someday, I hope I can get rid of my ego and accept those who have hurt me and have the courage to ask for forgiveness as well.

The Lord works wonders in the weirdest way....I am a living testament and I know the Holy Spirit guided me back to church to get confirmed.

    Amen...

After 5 minutes, tweak the scribbles into meaningful sentences. Post it to your blog. The title should be, "My FMORT". Dont expand FMORT in the title as the purpose is to popularize FMORT. Miss Indian Universal Pageant, Vasantham Star and so much of fun.... / 10/15/07
The past been has been a emotional roller coaster for me. I kept myself busy by studying for the accounts exams and once it was over, I felt that could have tried harder. The weekend was packed with so many outings and I wasn't able to do my usual routine of cleaning my room and doing my laundry.

    Saturday was the semi-finals of the(click here-->
Miss & Mrs. Indian-Universal Pageant 2007Indian & Little Indian Princess 2007 . My darling girl Gayathrie is taking part in it and I headed down to Meritus Mandrin hotel to support her. Kasturi was late and we were one of the last once to enter the grand ball room. *So embarrassing* The moment we were seated, we helped ourselves to the large spread of food. Haha! The food was awesome but the service could have been better. Most of the waiters were from China and I noticed alot of people struggling to converse with them. The coffee was super bitter and when I wanted sugar syrup, the waiter re-filled the sugar container. *rolls eyes*

What was most impressive of the event was the number of (click here-->
sponsors. Big MNCs like Singtel, Indian arilines and toni singapore were the sponsors as well. The contestants looked so stunning and their outfits were sponsored by Sheetal. Sooooooo gorgeous! The event ended really late because of the many hiccups that the organisers faced. Gaya3 baby got into the finals and it will be held somewhere in December. It was good to see an Indian organisation trying to achieve to something of a large scale. And yes, I would like to see more of such pageant going on. Enjoy the pics...

the wedding gowns were so pweety..
100 over participants and a tiny stage....
Many took part in the Miss Vasantham competition as well.
    Baby girl...
    I love their outfits...
    Esp this gold one...
    Her blouse....

This contestant won Mrs Spirit....and she is so cute!
    Pretty girl...
Her sari cost 900 hundred dollars!
And it weighs like a sack of rice...
    Muacks!
    Sisters...
    While waiting for gaya3...we...
    Cam-whore...
    And do stupid things...lol!
    Candid....

Anyways, I really enjoyed myself and I reached home by 1.30pm. I was soooo tired but I woke up on Sunday and went to church with Mummy. Yeah! I'm so proud of myself. After lunch at Devagi's restaurant, (The food there is awesome! Gooodnes....I'II be back there again and I'II tell you guys all abt it soon k.) we headed home for a seista. Woke up later then expected and rushed to meet Anand to go for the VStar show.

I'm not happy with the outcome. It is a competition about singing and Dhinesh and Deva were the only ones with good vocals. Even, the judges said so. But the people voted for Ebi. No point complaining rite. I'm not happy. He needs to learn how to pronounce Tamil words properly lar....

Once the show was over, as usual we headed down to Adam road market for dinner, forgetting it was hari raya. Most of the Muslim shops were closed and I had prawn noodles. After diner Deva invited us over for a few beers and a good bitching sessions. Reached home at 1am. Tireeeed! I need good rest.

    Studying Frenzy / 10/8/07
    Happppy Bluey Rainy Morning...
I'm feeling much better. Decided to engage in a different perspective of life. No more worries for a while because I'm keeping myself busy with studying. I started off the studying timetable today in school. I studied all by myself with little distractions. I feel pleased. Lulu told me to print out the notes and I am on it......So much of paper wasted. Why can't we get back to primitive times and use the chalk board?? Do you remember during our primary school days recycled papers were used to print worksheets instead. Nowadays it's hard to find recycled papers around. Sigh....Save the trees...!

Devarajan is going to the finals. I was so delighted when he made it. Mary treated all of us to the "mney back guaranteed" mutton chop at Adam Road market. Yummy! The guys were supposed to watch the match at Deva's place but since I am not too much of a soccer fan I denied the kind offer. Went home and slept.

    Ok back to the books....

    Confusion / 10/6/07
You can give your Mummy a catalogue, whilst I grasp onto this Ring.....until I can...

I slept at 3.30am. Woke up with runny eyes and a strange pain on my back. As usual Puppy and I had our late talks. I shan't get too detailed about it but I didn't like the conversation. Too many self made decisions from both our parts made me feel insecure for the first time in this relationship. I relished the feeling slowly during the conversation. It's good to have some negative elements around. At least I don't feel like I'm waiting for something. But no matter what I have to say, I didn't like the conversation and now so much must be done to change the perception of the Mothership. It gets confusing. Oh...how...oh how I wish I was back in Sec school. I miss JC days as well. I don't even know what's going to happen.

Johnny told me, "All Man are meant to be alone,"

So sickly true isn't it. Even if you have a busload of friends around you, you eventually have to carry your own cross.

I hated being in office the past week. There was a heavy unspoken burden on each one's heart. But they all chose to use their minds and pretend nothing was wrong. I hate it when someone has to feel. The bond is disturbed. It gets uncomfortable. Sigh...I'II miss you Rain. You were a darling and will always be.

I need retail therapy. I need to relax and start studying. Irony.
    Enjoy your weekend.

Hari Raya and Deepavali. / 10/2/07
Weee.....the thought of all the festivites coming along seems to inspire me to blog. Lol! Yes, I'm done with my deepavali shopping. Mummy bought me a pretty orangish-brownish punjabi suite and a set of neckalce and bangles to match it. Weeeeeee....I'm a happy Indian girl. Hari Raya is in a month's time and I've got many invitations as well. I'm looking forward to the yummilious food and merry making. Weeeee......!
I'm finally done with the project....well atleast for now. I'II have to compile and edit once everyone has done their part. Puppy is still asleep and I'm hungry......

I woke up with a terrible nightmare. My teeth was falling off one by one and I was collecting it while running down the stairs with an Indian guy beside me and his friend was following us from the behind. While I'm crying, he turns to his friend and says I am really ugly because all the teeth is gone by now.

Gosh....! Lol! I woke up and checked that my set of teeth was intact. In reality they are far from perfect but I've got to take care of them. Mummy reminds me that she invested $3000 dollars on it.-braces. (I don't want to say more about those sad days, with metal in my mouth.)

Anyways, I am going to finish up on my project, that has yet to be started but 4 hours should be more then enough. Wish me luck.

    Sketches and a disappointing show. / 10/1/07
I'd rather blog about the weekend that ended in a jiffy then to open up Microsoft word and start on my project which should have been mailed a while ago. (oh and I'm msning with Jaswin as well...) Have you realised how students always want to be working adults and how all the working and fat salaried workers always want to get back to school? Well, Jaswin and I had that typical conversation and like my Mummy, Aunty, Lynn and whoever else who works around me, her answer was no different. She prefers to study. Gosh! *Clicks on the msn window to reply to Jaswin*

    *Back*

Ok this is bad....She works on Saturdays. Nooo...I need my sleep la.....I need to find a company that doesn't need me to work on weekends. I'II feel depressed.
Anyways, since I'm in the kind of mood that I'd rather do anything else then to start on my project, I might as well blog about my not every eventful weekend. After what was like eons, I met the Darling Lady Lynn...K that sounded like some British Royal.

Lunch was at Sketches bar and it was her treat. She's my makan buddy la. And next week will be my turn. Too many people have been remarking that I have a huge appetite for a small body. Helllloooo? Heard of high metabolism rate? Double that, and that's Me. =) Lunch was real good. I had pepper steak with fresh garden salad. (I kept asking Lynn where the garden was.....corny la..) And she had the king prawn and beef in cream. Goodness the highlight of the whole meal was the tiramisu cheese cake. It's heaven I tell you. It was so good that both of us were absolutely quiet during the whole time we savoured the cake. I will definitely head back there for the dessert.

    Enjoy the pics...

Sweeeeeet eh? And I like her top as well...
    Thanks i know....
Spicy mussels. Hmmm you see, Lynn and I are shellfish crazy so any restaurant that serves mussels or raw oysters, we will order it.
    weakness...
clam chowder..didnt like it. tasted like thick oats.
I loved the salad...and the potato topping. Prawn and meant....weird combi I thought...but it was nice...
    Tiramisu.................its was heaven on earth...

I had to leave early because my Mum wanted me to follow her to an Indian cultural show which her company was invited to. This show is jointly produced by Sirpigal (a one year old Indian cultural society that aims in promoting the Arts to youth out there) and TRC (Tamil representative cooperative society.) TRC is trying to promote savings amongst the Indian youth in Singapore. I'm sure the producers of the show must be marveling at the success of the show considering all the tables were full of invitees. It was nice to see old folks from 3 homes were invited and disabled people performed together with abled ones on stage. Dr Balaji was the guest of honour and his wife was clad in a pretty green sari. But, the show was too draggy and at some point I couldn't relate to the objective of the show. Firstly, if you are trying to get the Indian youth to save more, wouldn't you expect more youth to be around? There was a handful of youth but many big shots like GMs and Vps were seated around mingling. Secondly, since when did the sari get shorter? Have you noticed how pioneer groups like Rameshvara have modified the sari to knee length? So, the younger generations follows. The girls were clad in short saris and danced with their legs high up in the air and from where I was seating, I could see most of her inner thighs. Not only were they thunderous, the minister of information, communications and the arts was seated in the front table. It was a 4 hour show with only singing and dancing and my butt started to ache. Sirpigal was a disappointment. The Indian arts does not only consists of singing and dancing! What happened to our traditional dancers? Including a short skit or play would have made a difference. Why are the female dancers being so rough and not lady like. What happened to the graceful Indian dancers? Doesn't the Indian culture encourage women to be graceful and pleasant to the eye? In my opinion, I have seen too may of such shows in CCs and clubs. But seeing a cooperative society and a arts group put up such a show makes me wonder about the future of the Indian arts in Singapore. In 20 years time, will we still hear classical music and see graceful barathanatiyam dancers or will women with modified saris jump on the stage, do the chicken dance and show off their inner thighs to us?

One before the show with Mummy...
