Weekly update / 7/28/08

Monday
No Monday blues for me today.

I'm in love with tappanyaki. I never fail to blog about my eating escapades. The weekend was great. There are so many birthdays coming up. Puppy's birthday comes first. On the 2nd. He finds that birthdays aren't a big deal anymore. He commented that birthdays come every other year. Yes........but if we aren't going to be excited about birthdays, then what else is there to look forward to? weddings? Well, yes I am looking forward to Mary's wedding. In fact, I'm looking forward to her hen's party more. So much of planning to do.

Tuesday
This post has taken me two days to complete. Nothing substantial though. I dragged myself to church yesterday. I left church feeling energised and not regretting going for Landings. So much was exchanged and Mary Ann's spiritual journey sharing was heart warming. As I walked out of the church, I reflected and realised my prayer life was dry and I had taken God for granted. Running to him every time I needed help and not thanking him enough for the plenty he has blessed me with.
I love the new home. It's the most inconvenient place I have ever lived in but still, the serenity and peace the place exudes is a good enough reason that stops me from complaining. I've yet to explore around St Vincent D Paul but Mummy attended morning mass and she said it was good.
I'm finally meeting the girls for dinner today. I miss them many many. And I can collect my phone from Wisma as well.
Stella has been tempting me with all the herbal soups she has been boiling. I'd probably drag the girls to Taka and search around for herbal packets. Yeah!

Pictures Galore / 7/18/08

Hello to one and all.

Here are some pictures I didn't get to upload because of the heavy workload I've been piled with. Tomorrow i'l be away for a retreat. I'm looking forward to it! One night stay at some ulu canossian retreat centre in jln murbok...some where in Gombak. 10 weeks have passed and I've "graduated" from the landing trail run. Here are the pics that were taken during the meet up with the archbishop.

I also finally got the time to mail the anxious ones the pictures. Apparently, its a big deal to get a shot with the Archie. lol! That's what we call him. Whoops.....

Okok...enough of all the serious and religious stuff. Here are Gaya'3 birthday pictures. I'm sure she enjoyed herself tremendously. we had so much of fun...

Lastly, the Champions headed out for our monthly Makan session. This time is was the famous crab shop at AMK. We had sumptuous butter and chili crabs. Little pricey but the its awesome food. I loved it!!

Beauty Time... / 7/16/08

Hello darlings!

Good morning to one and all.

I want to watch the dark Knight. My favourite super heroes of all time. Heath Leadger, the poor thing. I didn't go to work yesterday. Woke up with a terrible migraine on my left side. Mummy forced a ponston into me. Slept for another hour and puked everything out. I watched sadly as my Milo mixed with ponston and tuna sandwich was drained down the toilet bowl. I examined the brownish liquid before flushing the toilet.

A few more hours and sleep and I was awakened by my mother insisting on me having lunch. We headed down to tekka for a good Indian traditional lunch. My left hand side was throbbing and my Mother stood on my right hand side talking non stop. Well, maybe she didn't speak that much but noise made my migraine unbearable. A masala tea cured everything. =]

I've never had a good impression of Indian beauty salons. I only patronise their threading services. That too, I've never been loyal to any one salon in particular. The most accessible ones were my favourite spots. However, Mummy treated me to a facial yesterday at Gooday Impex. All sorts cream went on my face and many hands scrubbed and toned my face. After 2 hours, I saw a glow to my face. The beautician, the owner of the place and Mummy examined my face and another appointment was made without my consent. I agreed anyway, since I wasn't paying for it.

There are so many boxes around my house. I hate packing!

The search for the new home ends. / 7/14/08

Good morning darlings!!
I rested well during the weekend and I'm all charged up to finish my work for today. I've been skipping church and I woke up today, promising myself to attend mass this week. Prayer life has been stagnant as well. I'm blaming it all on the anxiety of joining a new department. I'm shifting house yet again. Mummy found a real good place and I'm so in love with the new place. It's situated 2 houses away from St Vincent D Paul church. Saturday night was spent in the new place. Mummy remarked that there should be no reason for me to skip church again since it take me less then 2 minutes to reach the church.
The amenities at Jalan Kayu is very limited but I'm sure I would get myself adjusted to this new strange place. I'm going to miss my Wendy's spice hut prata and Casuarina fish curry. Sigh. The nearest shopping mall would be Hougang point and the only consolation is that I have a couple of friends living in Hougang. I can meet up with Anisa more often!!! Yeah!!!

No Monday blues for me but I do know of someone who has been feeling blue for way too long. I miss the laughter and all the cutest things he used to say and do. I hope he gets over this phase soon!!!

I wanna take you away
Lets escape into the music .......

My tummy aches badly. Tracy was sweet to offer me an egg prata. Tasty is was but it made my tummy ache more. I rushed into the toilet twice. I released everything I possibly could but still, the tummy still aches. Sigh.

I didn't like the outing yesterday. I need my dinner latest by 8pm. Yes, yes, I follow the "manjen" dinner timing. Depriving me of food makes me angry and I snap at anyone who annoys me the slightest bit. Maybe, I was sensitive yesterday or maybe the tummy that was craving for food was making feisty.

Anyways, today is going to be a good day. I'm going to heading out to town for a little shopping. Dah dah dah....

Morning to One and All. / 7/9/08

Good Morning to one and all!!!
It's a perfect weather for a swim.
Work is fun and I'm enjoying every moment of it. I'm glad I'm doing something different after 2 years. I never got bored of my previous job scope but I'm more then willing to learn and do something new.

The month of July is passing real quickly. After months of being an "illegal immigrant" in Singapore, I'm finally going to get my IC and passport. You see, I've been without an IC since the age of 16 years old. Surprisingly, I managed well. It never occurred to me that an IC is that important after all. But, the people around me had a huge problem with the fact that I had no form of identity with me. Anyways, I took off from work and headed down to the SIR building and got both my passport and IC done. Yeah!

Much has happened during the last two weeks. Sometimes, when bad things happen, its make one stronger. It's like a good knock on your head to realise that your actions have been bad. So, not all bad things that happen to you is that bad after all.

Sutha met me for lunch on Monday, Puvanan on Tuesday and Puppy today. Who's coming tomorrow?
